PROBLEMAS EN ROSARITO

Here's whats up in Rosarito; we've been watching this story on and off since early this morning, so the final sentence out of La Frontera that this operation took place at 8:00PM and ended after fifteen minutes is inaccurate.

Early reports had the La Joya condos locked down, noone in and noone out, and this went on for hours.

Apparently there was a tip of an armed man with lots of money; other reports were hinting a kidnapping. Well, at any rate, this kid pissed someone off, because now he is in custody: 18 years old, armed with 9mm, bulletproof vest and alot of cash.

I guess he didn't get the word that the Army is in town...or something.

BTW, those pics of the Army laying siege to the La Joya Luxury Condos are from La Frontera's front coverage of this event, not just something random pulled up.

THIS WOMAN REALLY IS DESPERATE AND DANGEROUS: HILLARY CLINTON

A couple of weeks back, Hillary was doing an interview and was asked the question,"Well, why is it that you think that people don't like you?" Hillary responded, "...I've thought about that over and over and I have to tell you, I just don't know. I can't figure it out."

How about this Hillary, you are a whore. Enough said, we all know how exactly Hillary spreads her legs for the corporate elites and loves power, power and more power. So, here's the upshot from today, sort of. What we will see is Hillary determined to fuck everything up and rabidly pursuing this to the Convention Floor as we all watch in horror and disbelief. Well believe it folks, the Clintons think they own the White House, and they have been planning this for years.

GOOD NEWS FOR TIJUANA BASURA !!!

Apparently, a machine has been developed by a graduate student of the Technological Institute which will automatically separate items to recycle, which will then be sold to local and USA companies.

According to the Mayor of Tijuana, Jorge Ramos Hernandez, the machine has 15 days of operation under its belt and is still in its first phase of operation. The remaining cost of the project will be absorbed by the developing company and investors.

Another positive aspect of this project is that it will put people to work.

Now, from BBC, looks as though Calderon is trying to sooth the hungry beast; the very poorest in Mexico will be receiving a stipends to help defray the cost of food here. Last week, the Mexican government got rid of the tariff on some food imports, and now this action.

It is difficult to tell what social impact this will have, hopefully it will reduce the burden of the spiraling cost of food here, critics claim these measures are not addressing the general malaise of Mexican agriculture, so we'll need to watch this for sure. This is a huge problem here, there are very few full carts when I go to the supermarkets here, and I always wonder my god, how can these people afford the costs? The costs are just as high, if not higher than food in the States.

UPDATES ON GLEN CRISTOPHER CERDA GUAJARDO

One of the things which puzzles me over this story is why did Cerda go to Costa in the first place? Certainly, as a member of FARC he must have known that Costa Rica at least portrays itself as anti-FARC. What I can gather from these stories coming out, is that he was looking for another member there. Strange, but maybe not. If he were on the run, why didn't he go to Nicaragua where Danny Ortega has given sanctuary to other members of FARC?

At any rate, if you are following this story, here are the links again. El Universal reports that in transit, Cerda took some medication and suffered a tachycardia.

La Jornada reports that the Costa Rican authorities have claimed that Cerda had not provided any evidence of his stay in Ecuador. La Jornada also reports that representatives of the UNAM, IPN and APPO have all denied knowing Cerda. No word from the Narco Newsletter yet on this story.

GLEN CRISTOPHER CERDA GUAJARDO & BIG BUST AT SHARP PLANT IN ROSARITO

Okay, we haven't left yet because Mike had to work late, but he told me when he got home there was another raid on the Sharp Maquiladora Plant on the hill; this isn't anything new, this has happened before, but not such a large quantity. Apparently what happens is they, whoever they are, load the dope on the big semi trucks way in the front, then load the TV sets. Naturally when the trucks come to the border for inspection, they are generally glanced at and waved through, who wants to unload a huge semi truck? So, if you get a chance head on over to AFN or La Frontera, they will probably have the story. I haven't checked the Trib, they probably have more details. Is this what Mr. Torres was talking about yesterday, or was he referring to something else? The interview is on the side bar to the MSNBC article on the Marine who ran the checkpoint. Apparently the truck was bound for Canada and it was a large bust, 1.5 tons of marijuana. Seems a bit weird though, doesn't it, I mean they've been busted before, are they dumb enough to do it again? I guess so.(???) And a huge bust in Mexico City at the airport, 500 kilos of cocaine. So, heads are rolling, take a deep breath everyone, maybe fallout from these, maybe not.

Anyway guys, here is an interesting story from the big boys down here. According to reports from La Jornada and El Universal, Glen Cristopher Cerda Guado has admitted there are FARC cells in Mexico. The first article is a few days old, I'll do a quickie translation after the link:

San Jose, Costa Rica - quick and rudimentary translation:

Glen Cristopher Cerda Guajardo, a Mexican activist, affirmed that there are links between political organizations in southern Mexico, like the Popular Assembly of Oaxacan Pueblos (APPO) and FARC. He acknowledged being part of the Oaxacan organization and is now currently detained by the Costa Rican authorities.

A Costa Rican government official said that Cerda is presumed to be a member of FARC and did possess documents from that criminal organization, has participated in conferences in Bolivia as a representative of the Organization of Producers of Oaxaca, Mexico and has links with the insurgency groups of Chiapas and has been in the encampments in Colombia.

Cerda admitted to having been in the FARC encampment when Raul Reyes, the number 2 man of the Columbian guerrilla was killed in the attack by Colombia on the 1st of March. He said (Cerda said),"...there are FARC cells in diverse parts of Mexico..."

Okay, now today, Costa has handed Cerda over to the Mexican authorities:

As you all know, FARC makes alot of money by providing protection for the Cartels. So, is this guy Cerda a mole or is he for real? I don't know, we'll just have to follow the story. Is FARC in Baja? BACKDOOR BLUES - DON'T MISS THIS ONE :"STOP LOSS"

A couple of weeks back, the Pentagon announced that 45,000 additional troops were being sent to Iraq. Yesterday, Petraus announced that troops would begin to be pulled out and sent home. Today's message was even more confusing. Do you feel like you are in one of those old fashioned revolving entrance doors that would go round and round and round in circles and you just can't get off? Well, so do our boys who have had to suffer deployment after deployment in hell, thanks to fucktard, George Bush. The difference between us and them is that eventually we can cut through the lies and mismanagement of confusion fed to us on a daily basis by our government, defy gravity and be thrown free of the circle jerk action, although we are holding our heads as we are spit out on the sidewalk from sheer dizziness and we vomit in the street. The guys over there not only have to deal with chaotic military mismanagement, but they also get to be seriouly injured, or killed.

Here is something that we know for sure, the stop-loss program is taking its toll, and even though the Pentagon has been warned by experts on the far reaching damaging consequences of this type of mismanagement, they continue to press on with the stop-loss program. Are they brain dead? Well, it certainly appears that they do not care if our guys return damaged and brain dead. But the guys are speaking out, finally. Or maybe they have been speaking outall along and it has not been widely publicised, that's a definite possibility.

Que paso en Ensenada? According to this source, El Vigia, hay problemas. El Vigia believes that the bad guys are on the run from Tijuana and setting up in Ensenada. Or, could it be that the Cartel guys are trying to put a stranglehold on the government and reinforcing any elements which they already had in that City ? I think Freidman predicted a more generalized move towards the Mexico City power base, and that is probably correct, but it looks to me like in addition,this could be a dispersion rather than evasive movement, either to confuse or to wear existing Army troops thin here. A DANGEROUS COMBINATION: DRUG WARS AND THE SACRED TORTILLA

Every single major news source including international services has front line headliners on the drug wars going on within Mexico, from Baja to the interior. I wonder, with all of this exposure, when the saturation point will be reached and people will just start ho humming these events, much the same as they did over Colombia's similar drug wars several years back. Afterall, despite fair warning from media and US State Department disclosures that Cancun was the hideout and playground of the Cartel guys, American touristas continued to flock to Cancun as a vacation destination with an I don't give a shit attitude. It didn't seem to bother them that they were rubbing shoulders with criminals, or exposing themselves to rape and robbery, or supporting a two class system which encourages the lowest income group in Mexico to take and keep subservient positions in service industries with not a great deal of hope for the future, or even that the reef there is so completely trashed out because of overdevelopment and pollution that ecologically it is considered for all practical purposes dead.

So, perhaps the Mexican Tourist Board of Baja and developers shouldn't be all that concerned, Americans have short memories and quite frankly, it appears that many of them are selfish: Their concern over safety and environmental issues here in Mexico was certainly not in response to the everyday Mexican citizen's daily exposure to the toxic crime wave sweeping the countryside. It was only when Americans were targeted and these events were widely publicized - after I might add, many attempts to silence the recognition and reporting of negative incidents plus a lack of responsiveness even by the American press until it was so blatantly obvious, you simply could not deny it,(and if you did, you certainly looked foolish, if not tarnishing your reputation as a liar) that they reacted by staying away. Only time will tell if they return, but if we were to look at general patterns of behavior, the odds are, they'll come back, the great recession-depression in the United States permitting, of course.

But hold on a moment, not so fast. It seems we have another problem, which could escalate into widespread social dissatisfaction and instability within Mexico. While Calderon and the Army are trying to keep a lid on the political stability here, who's watching the hen house? Thousands here are being affected by the increasing food inflation prices. No, make that millions. So, while the Cartel guys are fighting each other and the government and vice versa, the Mexican people are at least starting to feel the pain of outlaying more money than they have to put food on the table. The only Americans that would really be able to comprehend and empathize the consequences of going hungry and the anger, agony and loss of dignity of being in that position would be the generation of the Great Depression, and of course, the lowest and poorest income groups in America today, but noone really pays attention to them.

Do you think American tourists would return if this situation were to dramatically increase, in essence developing into a hydraheaded vampire, much like the drug wars now ? Actually, when you think about the social implications of people going hungry whilst catering to the gringos ricas, the effects would be much worse than the drug wars we are witnessing now, and I think, even more dangerous. The combination of the two would be lethal.

From the San Diego Union, the third story they have put out today on this incident, they are still not allowing any comments. Boy, whoever these people were, it sure doesn't look good for Rosarito, does it? I haven't checked to see if this hit BBC, but it has hit all the major news media in the States, and reading the comments from CNN, people are deeply concerned in the States.

According to AFN, four Americans killed, the bodies were found in the vicinity of Primo Tapia. Two of the victims were in the back seat of a green cadillac with California plates, another victim's (woman) body was found 10 meters from the vehicle, the fourth victim was found 20 meters from the vehicle. These people were executed, gunshot wounds to the head.

Although it is not known if this incident is related, another victim found in another part of Primo Tapia, La Mina,also inside of a vehicle sustaining gunshot wounds to the head.

I am not saying that we should not have strong borders, nor am I saying that it should be just a free for all in the United States, with millions pouring over our borders illegally. We have to be a country with laws. But, keep in mind that the unions at the packing plants were busted a long time ago thanks to big business; in place of where there used to be good paying jobs with decent benefits, which Americans took with pride, now exists low paying jobs which Americans refuse to take and are doled out to the immigrants.

We have created this situation, we basically invited millions to cross over illegally by setting up, along with Canada and Mexico, the most outrageous, unfair, repressive labor system in this hemisphere, which goes by the name of NAFTA.

The victims are not the corporate zillionaires or the employers by any means, we are all victims, us the people, specifically the diplaced millions of American workers and illegal immigrants.

Perhaps you have already seen the headlines of the big bust in Postwille, Iowa. So far, almost 400 people have been swept up and are in the process of being deported. Used like chattel and then shipped out. What about the transgressions of the employer, AgriProcessors Inc.? Goodnight Sweet Prince: Lionel Van Deerlin

I met Lionel Van Deerlin many years ago, when I was just kid. He came to my parents house just before they held the polls there for the 1960 Presidential election, and I remember him being this huge man like a great big bear. I remember he winked at me as he and my father were talking in the kitchen and said, "Hi honey". Children sense things that are good or bad I think, and I know I sensed a great goodness and protection and warmth from this man, and I was right.

He was one of the good things about San Diego, like the old dairy farms in Mission Valley, the clean air 50 years ago,the old fishing boat fleet, the sparkling ocean, the rolling hills, the stars you could see at night,the innocence and laughter, he was a legend.

On all issues I feel that it is important to read all sides and to study the authors, and since we looked at George Freidman, it is only equal to read John Ross's latest offering. I think it is fair to say that the drug wars have overshadowed human rights abuse in Mexico. I would also like to add that the United States, especially the last eight years under the Bush criminals is no stranger to human rights and privacy abuses, not only in our own country but throughout the world. Still, I think there is hope to turn the tide in the States with our upcoming elections - which will a dauntless task, almost like the parting of the Red Sea. The question remains, will Mexico be able to do the same? If we accept Freidman's analysis that Mexico might be inching her way toward a failed state, if his worse case scenario transpires, will human rights abuses in Mexico increase? If so, what will the political dynamics be on neighboring Latin American countries and of course, on the United States.

Oh brother. Also, some very bad news about Cayucos - read this article from NRDC, plus on top of that, parts of Central CA actually allow trucks, bullshit ORV's and dunebuggies on the beach. That sucks. Another possibility is just to wait until prices up north drop even further, just wait it out. I like Avila , but even though they said it was cleaned up after the big oil spill, who knows? Plus, sharks.

So, meanwhile I was going to delete the Newsmax email place, but it seems that what the libs do really pisses them off and they put out these red alerts, which is actually kind of neat, because you can see and get links to what is getting their goat. So, I'm going to keep the site up. And, thanks to Newsmax's red alerts, I just found out about this ad for Obama from Move On.

Now, I was plenty pissed at Move On for dragging their asses and not getting behind the impeachment movement until it was too freakin late. Nevertheless, we all make mistakes (although THAT was a huge one) - (ours was moving HERE) and they did good with the General Betrayus ad.

PRAYER FOLLOWING DISASTER FROM RABBI DR. JONATHAN SACKS

Burma,deadly tornadoes in Missouri, Oklahoma, Georgia, and now the earthquake in China. I'm not going to upload any pics, you've seen them all already in the news, but I am going to give you a little prayer to say. This is by the Chief Rabbi, Dr. Jonathan Sacks who wrote this prayer following the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster. I hope he doesn't mind, but I'm leaving the the words,"...the tidal wave.." out and you can fill in the blanks.

I don't think Rabbi Sacks would mind terribly if we included not only natural, but man made disasters we are seeing daily throughout the world since we are a part of nature, including the war in Iraq, man's inhumanity to man in general, man's lack of stewardship towards the environment and personally, I'm going to add the 600 nuns arrested in Tibet for protesting. I believe a Buddist tradition following a prayer is to actually do a good deed afterwards, which is supposed to make the prayer even more powerful.

WHO IS DICK MORRIS ? AND WHAT IS HILLARY REALLY UP TO ?

Well, he has a rather sordid past. He advised Bill Clinton and had a huge impact on Clinton's campaigns from Arkansas to the Presidency. But things went sour, there was the prostitute scandal of 1996 and an actual almost fist fight with Clinton which, it is said, Hillary broke up.

A political strategist, Morris went on to advise many conservative politicians, both nationally and internationally. I wonder what he whispered into the ears of Jesse Helms, or that other cracker Trent Lott? Oh, he was Pete Wilson's favorite too. Sneaky Pete Wilson, you remember him, the guy that sold San Diego down the river to the greedy developers,turning it into a dirty extension of Los Angeles and then really fucked over California as Governor? He has stepped into the arenas in Mexico, berating Obrador, referring to him as being "dangerous" for Mexico, and even Kenya - where his participation is not altogether looked on favorably from a legal standpoint, not to mention that the entire process there is now completely in turmoil, a complete mess with fraud and corruption stamped all over it.

He has his own polling site, where the issues are right wing conservative centered, he works for Fox News and is a regular guest on O' barf-Reilly, and he has made some doozies of political predictions which have really been out there and not even near the mark. Forinstance, he predicted that Bush would really show his stuff, so to speak, after Katrina which would endear him to the public, and present him as a strong leader. Yea right, Bush showed his stuff allright, an incompetant asshole. After that he predicted that this presidential race would be between Hillary and Condi. Wow, that's a scary one. Go back further, and he predicted that Hillary would lose the New York Senate race. THATS THREE STRIKES DICK.

Over the years, Morris has had a real disdain for Hillary. Odd as this may seem, I agree with his perspectives of her as being cold, calculated and ruthless.(Ah ha, could this be the reason old Bill consistently found comfort in the other women over the years?) Along with Morris's penchant for making really bizarre and inaccurate political predictions, he has a knack for cozing up to some of the most manipulative political lowlife scumbags of our era, both nationally and internationally. He himself is an expert on political manipulation, aferall, he has made a career of shrewd political management. Simply put, it takes one to know one.

So, here is his take on Hillary's motivations and what she may very well be up to, and I have to say Dick, this time, I think you got the prediction and assessment correct, even though you are an idiot:
